The Next Few Weeks

So I know I've been pretty bad at keeping this thing updated but our email threads have sufficed so far :)

Here's the timeline of what's due over the next few weeks.  Figured having it posted in a central location would be good for everyone:

  • JCP - Online case discussion due by Wed, May 22
  • Atlantic Computer - Online case discussion due by Wed, May 22
  • Goodyear - Written case discussion due in class on Wed, May 22
  • Natureview Farms - READ ONLY - No case discussion
  • Marketing Assignment #2 - Pricing - Due May 29 on eLC
  • Finance Project #2 - Midland Energy - Jun 3 (by email I believe)
  • Final Marketing Project - TESLA - Jun 5 with presentation in class

I know that seems like a lot of work and coupled with everything else going on in our lives, very overwhelming, but as always, we will get it done!

Hope y'all all have a safe and fabulous Memorial Day weekend!  Let's plan for a group happy hour adventure (or wreak some nightly havoc) sooner than later!

NAPA Know How!

The final version of the project has been emailed to everyone and will be posted in the documents section once approved by all group members.  Here are the topics we will each cover in the presentation tomorrow (there are in slide order as well):

  • Introduction - Bryan
  • Defining the Issue - Terrance
  • Developing an Action Plan - Pat
  • What We Know/Don't Know - Britt
  • Sample Size and Confidence Intervals - Pat
  • Selecting the Sample - Abs
  • Statistical Findings - Bryan
  • Potential Course of Action - Britt and Abs
  • Ending/Conclusion/Ask for Questions - Terrance
If any of you are uncomfortable with your topics, let's discuss.  I will have my jump drive with me so I'll have a saved copy of the presentation.  Someone else (or everyone) PLEASE save a copy of this in case for whatever reason known to man my jump drive won't work, we'll have a backup.  I will also bring the Project Approval Agreement to sign at the beginning/before class tomorrow.  If we can get there as early as possible to talk about any finishing touches or points of interest, let's do so!  Bryan, thank you for getting all of the data together and thanks everyone for working so diligently today to get this done relatively quickly.  Great teamwork!!

Once it is approved by everyone, I will post the final presentation to the blog, as well as the two executive summaries we've done for Stats (sorry, I got bad about that).  Have a good night everyone and don't forget to take the accounting quiz and submit Module 9 HW by midnight tonight!  See y'all tomorrow!

Statistics Group Project, Opposable Mind, etc.

After crunching the numbers tonight, Bryan and I determined it would be easiest if the group put all final touches on the Statistics project when we meet on Sunday.  That being said, we will be meeting at 12 NOON THIS SUNDAY, MARCH 10!  It is imperative that we are all there so we can add all final touches to the project and to determine who is going to address which sections for the presentation.  Bryan will bring everyone up to speed on the numbers then we'll go from there.  I've changed the date on the UGA Executors' calendar and put an end time of 5 PM.  This does not mean we will be meeting that long but please make any adjustments to allow as much time necessary to finish this project.  I know we all have busy schedules but this is the very latest that we can meet so we need to dedicate as much time necessary to ensure we get a good grade.  If you want a soft copy of the numbers to get a head start on interpreting the data, email Bryan and he can send it to you.

That being said, we also have an accounting assignment due by midnight on Sunday as well as our portions of the group's Executive Summary on The Opposable Mind.  Please have your portions to Patrick by 7 PM Friday at the latest.  Also keep in mind this is a 3 page MAX summary so trim whatever needs to be trimmed to keep it within the 2-3 page total range.  And keep in mind that it may be a good idea to go ahead and start the accounting homework in case it does take us longer to put everything together for the Stats project.  If there are any objections or conflicts, please let the group know immediately otherwise be prepared for a productive Sunday!

Hope y'all are all having a great week!
